daily schedule


Each day of the workshop has two sessions, the morning begins at 9:00 and ends at 11:30. This is followed by lunch and a siesta.The afternoon session begins at 2:30 and goes to 5:00. Dinner is next, then a short critique at 7:00, where we review the day’s work and discuss the process of color seeing and painting.


recommended reading

Three short books are recommended for reading before the workshop: Hawthorne On Painting; Hensche On Painting, both available through Dover Publications and The Art Of Color Seeing, by Chuck Ceraso, which is available through Chuck’s website: www.chuckceraso.com. It can be downloaded as an ebook or purchased hardcopy.

Each package includes the workshop fee, lodging and three meals a day.

Casitas: Bare bones adobe buildings, a step above camping. Bunk beds, must bring own sleeping bags, linens and towels.                         Located in one of the most beautiful areas of the ranch. Neighboring bathhouse.

Dorms: Summer camp-style rooms. Bunk & twin beds, bathroom and showers outside the room, down a covered porch. Linens                and towels are provided.

Private Bath: Rooms with twin and or double beds and private bathroom. Linens and towels provided.


                          These three rooms are basic, no frills, but clean and comfortable.
